The ICK-250 is a diagnostic tool that allows checking the proper operation of inverter boards in HVAC/R systems. When connected to the inverter board instead of the compressor, the ICK-250 receives and analyzes the control signal from the board and, using a 6-LED signal, indicates to the technician whether the board is operational or defective.
Depending on the systems being tested, the inverter board can quickly enter fault mode and stop sending the control signal to the ICK-250 because it “detects” that it is not connected to a compressor. Sometimes the technician does not have enough time to see the test result. By pressing the MEM (memory) button on the ICK-250, the test result stored by the device can be displayed.
