The YT-1200H-S-R290 is an ATEX-certified explosimeter designed to ensure the safety of technicians working with A3 flammable refrigerants, especially R290.
It continuously monitors R290 concentrations in the work area and triggers instant alerts when critical explosion-risk levels are reached. It clearly displays the percentage of the Lower Explosive Limit (%LEL) for fast and simple interpretation.
With two configurable alarm thresholds (default: 20% and 50% LEL), the operator is promptly alerted to avoid dangerous situations.
Its rechargeable Li-ion battery ensures long-lasting operation, and its reinforced protective housing makes it ideal for on-site use.

No, the explosimeter has a different and complementary function compared to a leak detector. The YT-1200H-S-R290 is PPE (personal protective equipment) that continuously measures the concentration of flammable gas in the operator’s environment and alerts in case of threshold exceedances that may represent a danger. In contrast, a leak detector does not display values and has no threshold alarms. It is designed to detect micro-leaks, i.e., gas concentrations of a few tens of ppm, and may trigger inadvertently.
As PPE, we recommend calibrating the device every 6 months and performing a bump test before each use. The bump test is intended to verify that the alarms trigger correctly when alert thresholds are exceeded. We recommend that users equip themselves with a LINSTRUMENT CAL-110-R290 control kit, which includes a calibration gas cylinder for both calibration and bump testing.
